Les Savy Fav - Yawn Yawn Yawn (2003)

I just remembered how good Les Savy Fav’s Inches is the other day. I’d call it top-tier 2000’s postpunk, certainly up there with Mclusky and Interpol. Also, “Yawn Yawn Yawn” plays like a not-so-distant relative of Joy Division’s “Transmission” as both are kinda about partying before your imminent demise. I wonder if you could call the yawning about death/obsolescence a decidedly post-millennial gesture.
